Prom Photos !

All photos on these pages are my own. Most of them are fairly unique... few people go where we went on these walks, and even fewer are lucky enough to get the mostly good conditions we had. Some of these shots are snapshots, taken just to record the moment, "tweaked", often significantly, in the digital darkroom. Others needed no improvement!

All these photos were scanned after being printed from film.  Yes, there was a time when Digital cameras didn't exist!  I was there!

Click Here for the Oberon Bay Panorama!

This panorama is made up of seven shots taken from the rugged northern slopes of Mt Norgate. In the center is Oberon Bay and Mt Oberon, with Norman Island to the west and Mt Wilson and ranges to the east. The view actually takes in nearly a full 180 degrees, and shows beautifully the contrasting landscape of the Promontory.

Monkey Rocks are just there in the dip at the north western foot of Mt Boulder which rises gently at far right, and just barely obscures beautiful Waterloo Bay. Click here for the view of Waterloo Bay from Boatharbour Hill, which continues this panorama and gives a vision right across this part of the Prom.
